The first-born son of legendary jazz singer Mel Tormé presents a magical concert of music and memories. Using many of Mel and Marty Paich’s original musical arrangements written specifically for the “dektette”, and accompanied by an all-star, ten piece band, Steve March-Torme sings his father’s best known songs, including “Lulu’s Back in Town,” “Mountain Greenery,” “It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing” and of course “The Christmas Song.” Interspersed with rare family photos and video of Steve and his dad, this show is thoroughly entertaining from the opening note to the last.
