From a small farm in Pine Level, Alabama, SamWell's journey began with a work ethic shaped by early mornings and big dreams. Despite his humble beginnings, he was drawn to the stage, and on December 5, 2016, he made his mark, delivering a soul-stirring performance of Sam Smith's Lay Me Down at the Apollo Theater, his first nationally broadcast appearance.
The next milestone came on American Idol, where he won a golden ticket to Hollywood in March 2018.
