Leslie McDonel is an accomplished vocalist and performer whose career spans Broadway stages, symphony halls, and international venues. Her Broadway credits include American IdiotLegally Blonde, and Hairspray, and she most recently portrayed Carole King in Beautiful at Austin’s acclaimed ZACH Theatre. She has also starred as Janis Joplin in A Night with Janis Joplin in both New Orleans and Austin.

Leslie’s regional work includes performances at Portland Center Stage, North Carolina Theatre, Casa Mañana, Dallas Theater Center, Theatre En Bloc, and multiple productions at ZACH Theatre, including Hedwig and the Angry Inch and A Christmas Carol.

She has performed the British National Anthem at the Canelo/Saunders boxing match at Dallas Cowboys’ Stadium, and appeared as a featured soloist with the Santa Rosa Symphony, the San Francisco AIDS Walk, and Transcendence Theater. Her national television credits include performances with Green Day on the Tony Awards, Grammy Awards, and Monday Night Football. She is also featured on the Grammy Award-winning American Idiot cast album.
