James T. Lane is a celebrated Broadway triple-threat, known for his captivating stage presence, dazzling dance ability, and powerful voice. A veteran of the stage, Lane has starred in numerous Broadway productions, most recently as the icon Louis Armstrong in A Wonderful World. As a Broadway mainstay, he has also starred in Chicago, having had the distinct honor of playing both Billy Flynn and Amos Hart. His credits further include Kiss Me, Kate, King Kong, The Scottsboro Boys, and the role of Ritchie in A Chorus Line, which he reprised for London’s West End at The Palladium. Off-Broadway, James created and starred in his solo show Triple Threat at Theatre Row and has been featured in acclaimed productions such as Grand Hotel and Don’t Bother Me, I Can’t Cope at City Center Encores. The national tours include the hit musicals Ain’t Too Proud and Jersey Boys, as well as appearances at Carnegie Hall, where he has performed with the New York Pops. Onscreen, James as made appearances on The Amber Ruffin Show, One Life to Live, Meet Dave, and the documentary Every Little Step, which chronicles the audition process for A Chorus Line.
