Gabrielle Stravelli is a New York-based jazz vocalist and songwriter celebrated for her tremendous swing feel, genre-bending individuality, and gift for lyric interpretation. The New York Times' Stephen Holden praised her "emotional intelligence" and "phenomenal voice... wielded with an easygoing confidence and impeccable taste." In 2024 she made her Carnegie Hall debut with the New York Pops and released her fifth album, Beautiful Moons Ago. A fixture at New York's Birdland Jazz Club -- where she has led five month-long residencies and sold out the main room -- she has toured the United States with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra in Abyssinian: A Gospel Celebration, and has collaborated with pianists Fred Hersch and Billy Stritch. Her honors include the 2022 MAC Award for Major Female Artist, the 2019 BroadwayWorld Cabaret Award for Best Jazz Vocalist, and multiple Bistro Awards. Since 2015 she has toured internationally as a U.S. Department of State Jazz Ambassador, headlining festivals across Chile, Malaysia, the Bahamas, and Europe, and in 2024 made her London debut at The Pheasantry. She holds a BFA from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
