About Frances

Frances Mayli McCann is one of the most exciting leading actresses working in the West End and on screen today. She originated the role of Daisy Buchanan in the world-premiere stage adaptation of The Great Gatsby at the London Coliseum — the largest theatre in the West End — in a record-breaking, award-winning run. She is also celebrated for her acclaimed performance as Bonnie in Bonnie & Clyde the Musical, which began as a sold-out concert at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane opposite Jeremy Jordan, was filmed for worldwide cinema release, and led to full West End runs at the Arts and Garrick Theatres, earning her a WhatsOnStage Award nomination for Best Performer.

She was previously nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress for Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour, and her other stage credits include Eponine in Les Misérables, the Mistress in Jamie Lloyd's Evita, and Misa Amane in the world-premiere musical of Death Note at the London Palladium. On screen, Frances stars in Netflix's hit Dept. Q — the platform's most-watched Scottish title — and has appeared in ITV's Code of Silence, Shetland, and BBC Scotland's River City.
