The sound of Cara Lee, according to her producer, three-time Grammy Winner Shannon Sanders, is a dynamic mix of “Aretha meets Janis”. Add some Tina Turner into the mix, and the result is a voice infused with the heart of the greats, yet still finding its own unique emotional space.
Cara Lee has graced stages the world over and sung alongside a list of legends that includes The Righteous Brothers’ Bill Medley, Kate Taylor, Albert Lee and iconic producer Peter Asher (Linda Ronstadt, Cher, Barbra Streisand) who introduces her as “The great Cara Lee.”
Being a fundamental part of the entertainment community in Los Angeles,Cara Lee continues to share her talent with the world-famous Wrecking Crew, Don Randi’s “Quest”, The Tribe (a collective of LA’s greatest singers and musicians), Laurence Juber’s (Wings) “Airfoil”; a staple performer at the Grammy Museum and a long-time musical contributor on the Time Life/Star Vista’s Music charter cruises (The 70’s Rock & Romance Cruise, The Ultimate Disco Cruise, The Flower Power Cruise, The Malt Shop Memories Cruise).
Cara Lee connected with a broader audience when she appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden, performed at the Super Bowl 50 VIP event and other exclusive celebrity parties.
After working with various music producers and writers, Cara Lee decided to work on her first original music album project “Rise Again” by collaborating with producer Shannon Sanders, who worked with the likes of India Arie, Jonny Lang, John Legend, Heather Headley, to name a few.
